Nice to meet you

I design parts that can be built, assembled and wired. Four years as an automation apprentice first, then engineering school. IT enthusiast, I stay on top of new AI models and put them to work in my projects.

Experience

Where I learned by doing.

  1. Delft University of Technology Now

Exchange BSc thesis · Aerospace Structures & Materials Lab · Delft, Netherlands

Exchange semester within the EU project OPTIRBLEND: manufacturing and characterisation of compatibilized recycled PP/HDPE blends. Mostly hands-on lab work: compounding, injection moulding, tensile tests, DSC, FT-IR and microscopy. Intermediate report result: 5.7/6.

  2. Valais Wallis Racing Team

Gearbox designer · Mechanical team · Formula Student, Sion

I designed the stepped planetary gearbox of the 2026 4WD car: calculation (KISSsoft), CAD and drawings (Inventor), work with the manufacturer and assembly. I also set up the team’s CAD server (Autodesk Vault, 30+ users, 2500+ files), helped with chassis design and FEA, and helped to build the car. On site at FSG and FSA.

  3. Alps Automation SA

    Automation apprentice (CFC) · Vouvry

Last year of my apprenticeship. I wired and commissioned electrical cabinets. For my final project, I designed a robotised watchmaking machine, then produced the technical file to assemble and cost it: assembly drawings, parts lists, part drawings. Graded 5.9/6 (see Projects).

Projects

Things I designed, built and tested.

Formula Student · Valais Wallis Racing Team

In-wheel stepped planetary gearbox

Designed from a blank page for the 2026 four-wheel-drive car.

I designed everything in KISSsoft and Autodesk Inventor and made the drawings. Then I worked with the manufacturer, Jacquier & Luisier SA in Valais, to make the design manufacturable. Once they had made the parts, I assembled all four gearboxes myself: they ran flawlessly at four competitions across Europe in summer 2026.

Final apprenticeship project · Alps Automation

Precision watchmaking machine

I designed a future Alps Automation catalogue machine in 3D: a 6-axis robot, a linear motor and a 3D laser camera on dedicated mechanical supports. Then I made the technical file to assemble and cost it: assembly drawings and parts lists for every sub-assembly, and a 2D drawing for every machined part.

BSc thesis · TU Delft · EU project OPTIRBLEND

Recycled PP/HDPE blends

Mixed PP/PE waste rarely ends up in load-bearing parts, because sorting it costs too much. I test whether a compatibilizer and the right processing settings make recycled blends stiff, strong and tough enough. In the lab, I compound and injection-mould the blends, then characterize them with tensile tests, DSC, FT-IR, SEM and optical microscopy. The output: processing guidelines for compounders.

Beyond work

What keeps me going.

Triathlon

Swim, bike, run: triathlon is how I recharge, and it has taught me to plan months ahead and keep going when it gets hard. I’ve now completed an Ironman 70.3 (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run) and a marathon.

Photography & video

Photography and video are my creative side. For years, I’ve photographed and filmed the pilgrimage to Lourdes for the Jeunes de Lourdes (JDL), then spent many hours editing the videos.

Contact

Let’s work together.

Looking for a mechanical engineer? I’m available from June 2027, after my military service. Drivetrains, bikes or precision machines: even better.
